
A two-day workshop on digital journalism was held in collaboration with the Punjab Education Department, Google, and TechValley, focusing on the evolving role of technology in modern media.
The workshop brought together a wide range of participants, including reporters, assignment editors, producers, bloggers, podcasters, analysts, and vloggers, aiming to equip them with essential digital tools and techniques.
Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat addressed the attendees, emphasizing the growing importance of technological proficiency in journalism. He stated that the future belongs to those who master digital skills, especially in the age of artificial intelligence. He also noted that the government has launched a series of training sessions in partnership with Google[1] and TechValley to support this transition.
The minister said that platforms like Google Trends can help journalists produce more accurate and in-depth reporting. During the workshop, he engaged with media professionals and responded to their questions regarding the use of technology in journalism.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced the final results for several positions in the Health and Irrigation departments.
