The Utah Jazz opened their season in style, taking down the Los Angeles Clippers 129 –108 in Salt Lake City behind a great performance from Walker Kessler.
Kessler didn’t miss literally shooting 7-for-7 from the floor and finishing with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks. The young center was everywhere on both ends, showing his growth as an all-around impact player.
Lauri Markkanen and Brice Sensabaugh each added 20 points, while Keyonte George nearly notched a double-double with 16 points and 9 assists.
The Jazz pushed the pace, shared the ball, and got contributions from up and down the roster, overwhelming a Clippers team still finding its rhythm.
A strong home opener, a complete team win and a reminder that Utah is ready to make noise this season.
Final Score: Clippers 108 – Jazz 129
