Audi is stepping deeper into the digital era with a major overhaul of its myAudi app, transforming how drivers interact with their cars. The modern car is no longer just about horsepower or design; it’s about software. And Audi’s latest update aims to make that software smarter, simpler, and more connected than ever.
The company describes the revamped app as a unified platform that connects the driver, the vehicle, and the web. According to Audi[1], this new version is built to simplify everyday ownership, making digital interaction as natural as driving itself.

One of the most notable upgrades is the integration of artificial intelligence. Audi’s software arm, CARIAD, has embedded ChatGPT directly into the system, turning it into a built-in assistant. Drivers can now ask their car questions like “Why is this light on?” instead of searching online or flipping through the manual. The AI responds using real-time information drawn directly from the vehicle’s onboard guide.
Another major addition is digital key functionality. The app now allows owners to lock, unlock, and even start their Audi using a smartphone or smartwatch. While digital keys aren’t new, Audi’s seamless integration removes the need for a physical key entirely. It’s a convenience that transforms the car into a natural extension of a user’s digital lifestyle, a small step that significantly enhances the ownership experience.

Where the new myAudi app truly shines is in electric vehicle management. Designed with the e-tron lineup in mind, it helps address the common concerns of EV owners. The app serves as a central dashboard for essential data such as range, Plug & Charge payments, and charging schedules. Drivers can schedule charging during off-peak hours to save on electricity costs.
The route planner has also been upgraded for EV users. It automatically finds charging stations along long-distance routes and integrates them into the navigation system. With just a few taps, the plan can be sent directly to the car. Selected Audi models also benefit from battery preconditioning, which heats or cools the battery before charging. This feature optimizes performance and shortens charging times in extreme weather.

The new app doesn’t stop there. Audi has turned it into a digital marketplace, where users can explore tailored product suggestions for their car. From physical accessories to digital upgrades, the app personalizes shopping options, though it also highlights the growing trend of in-car monetization among automakers.
The updated myAudi app is already available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in more than 50 markets, including Europe and the Pacific region. Audi plans to expand access soon to Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
