Thatta Cement Company Limited (PSX: THCCL) is expanding its industrial footprint through a new venture in Balochistan. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Minsk Work Tractor & Assembling (Private) Limited (MWTA), has signed an exclusive agreement with OJSC Minsk Tractor Works from the Republic of Belarus to assemble BELARUS tractors locally.
The agreement grants MWTA exclusive rights to assemble BELARUS tractors within the province of Balochistan. This collaboration marks a key milestone in developing local tractor production and advancing the province’s industrial capabilities.
According to the company’s statement, the partnership aims to boost industrial growth, create employment opportunities, and promote technology transfer to the region. With local assembly operations, the initiative is expected to meet the growing demand for agricultural machinery while supporting farmers across Balochistan.
The move also reflects Thatta Cement’s broader diversification strategy. Management believes the project will contribute to the company’s long-term growth and strengthen its position as a diversified industrial group.
