
The federal government has appointed Faisal Iqbal Ratyal as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Information Technology Board (NITB). The appointment was confirmed through an official notification issued by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication after approval from the federal cabinet.
According to the notification, Faisal Iqbal Ratyal will serve a three-year term under the Special Professional Pay Scale. His appointment reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership within key technology and digital governance institutions.
Before his appointment, Ratyal served as Director General at the Ministry of IT and also held the position of Acting CEO of NITB. During his tenure, he played a vital role in advancing Pakistan’s digital transformation and public sector technology initiatives.
The Ministry of IT expressed confidence that Ratyal’s experience will help accelerate the implementation of national digital projects and enhance coordination between federal and provincial technology departments.
