Samsung’s next flagship lineup is once again stirring confusion in the rumor mill. For months, reports suggested that the successor to the Galaxy S25[1] would be called the Galaxy S26 Pro. However, new information now disputes that entirely.

According to the latest leak[2], Samsung’s next-generation lineup will skip the “Pro” model. The upcoming series will instead include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, following the company’s familiar naming pattern.

Earlier rumors hinted that Samsung might replace the S26+ with a model named Galaxy S26 Edge. At the time, speculation suggested that the Plus variant had been canceled. However, the latest reports indicate the opposite. The Galaxy S26 Edge has reportedly been scrapped due to poor sales of its predecessor, while the S26+ remains in active development.

This back-and-forth has created uncertainty around Samsung’s final plans. Some analysts believe these mixed signals may stem from internal changes within the company’s product strategy. If true, it could suggest Samsung is still fine-tuning its direction for the 2026 flagship lineup.

As for the hardware, the Galaxy S26 is expected to feature Samsung’s Exynos 2600 SoC in several markets, similar to the S26+. While the camera system is rumored to stay the same as the Galaxy S25, the battery will see a notable upgrade, from 4,000 mAh to 4,300 mAh.
