The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) has approved 12 major development projects worth over Rs380 billion, focusing on agriculture, education, health, infrastructure, and climate resilience across Pakistan.

The high-level meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, aimed to accelerate inclusive growth and improve living standards through multi-sectoral investments. The projects will benefit Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan, reflecting the government’s push for balanced regional development.

According to the official statement, the approved schemes include initiatives to strengthen education and healthcare systems, improve road connectivity, enhance agricultural productivity, and bolster climate adaptation measures.

“These projects reflect our government’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable economic growth across all provinces,” said Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar during the session.

The meeting was attended by the Planning Minister, provincial finance officials, and senior representatives from federal ministries including Finance, Energy, and Planning, who reviewed the feasibility and financial frameworks of each project.
