Akwa United FC have continued their preseason build-up ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season, moving camp to Eket after playing a 1-1 draw with Enyimba FC in a friendly match on Wednesday in Aba.
The club confirmed the development in a post shared on its official social media handle on Thursday afternoon, noting that the move marks the next phase of preparations for the new season.
“Coach Paul Offor and his technical crew began the next phase of preseason on Thursday morning at the Eket Stadium, where the lads had their first training session, with more to follow as the team camps in the oil-rich city of Eket,” the club stated.
With the new season set to kick off on November 8, the Promise Keepers said their preparations have reached a crucial stage as they work towards building momentum for a strong start to the campaign.
Akwa United also hinted that more details about their identity for the upcoming season, player updates, and other key information will be officially unveiled soon.
The Uyo-based side will begin their NNL campaign with a home clash against Solution FC, as they aim to secure a swift return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
