Zesty Sturdy is a variant of the Get Sturdy[1] dance where participants make stereotypically flamboyant, feminine or “zesty”[2] gestures while performing the dance. The dance was popularized through a moment in one of content creator Jay Cinco’s YouTube livestreams, in which he’s talking with a group of people in New York City when they get streamer and TikToker @madi2hotty to do the “sus sturdy” for him. The livestream took place in late September 2025 and the dance spread on TikTok throughout October after the clip went viral on the app.
Origin
On September 27th, 2025, streamer Jay Cinco hosted a livestream on his Jay Cinco Live YouTube[3] channel titled, “Jay Cinco SHUTS DOWN NYC Celebrity Basketball Game!” garnering over 35,000 views in roughly two weeks. At the 1:22:48 timestamp, Cinco is talking with a group of men on the street. One guy calls another, content creator madi2hotty, over to show Cinco the “sus strudy” he was doing. The man does the dance, a flamboyant version of the sturdy, then Cinco walks away.
On that day, TikToker @sheclipseverything101 posted the isolated clip of the man showing Cinco the “zestiest sturdy,” garnering over 2.7 million views in about two weeks.

On October 3rd, TikToker @alanseteclips posted an edit captioned “last thing you see before getting slimed in New York”[18] compiling several clips of madi2hotty dancing and doing the zesty sturdy, garnering over 3.1 million views in just under two weeks.

On October 7th, TikToker @universal.clipper posted a clip from one of streamer JasonTheWeen’s streams where he does a version of the zesty sturdy, gaining over 559,000 views in a week.
