One week after “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice[1] revealed she extended an olive branch to her brother, Joe Gorga[2], and his wife, Melissa Gorga, the latter is speaking out about their potential reconciliation.
Giudice and Joe have been feuding since the early days of the Bravo reality series. After things between them reached a boiling point during season 14, the two families became estranged, and Giudice vowed never to speak to the Gorgas again.
However, after some time away from the cameras, Teresa Giudice admitted that she’s had a change of heart and hopes to reconnect with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his family. But what does Joe need from her to make that happen?

Joe Gorga Sounds Off On Receiving An Olive Branch From His Sister, Teresa Giudice

As previously reported by The Blast[3], Giudice appeared on the “I Do, Part 2” podcast and implied that she was ready to bury the hatchet with her brother and move forward.
“Time does heal all wounds. And when time goes by, you forget things,” Giudice said.
Her brother, Joe, shared his feelings about her statement on “The Eds[4]” podcast and revealed the “RHONJ” OG reached out to him and would like to “sit down and meet.”

What Does Joe Gorga Want From His Sister Teresa Giudice During Their Sit Down?

Despite their years of fighting, Joe admitted that he’s a “good brother,” so he’s willing to have a conversation with his sister. However, there will only be progress if Giudice admits to her wrongs.
“I’ve never wanted to argue with her ever. It was not my intention,” he said. “If I sit down with her and I hear her out, it has to be a lot of … it has to be very humble.”
According to Joe, his sit-down with Giudice must be genuine. “It has to be real. It has to be, you know, ‘I’ve made mistakes,’ and we can move forward,” he said.

Joe Gorga Wants To Be An Example For Society By Letting Teresa Giudice Back Into His Life

Joe’s wife, Melissa, didn’t seem as gracious when speaking about potentially reconciling with her “RHONJ” co-star, with whom she’s fought incessantly on the show since 2011.
From Melissa’s perspective, Giudice’s olive branch came at a peculiar time, as rumors have been swirling suggesting the next season of “Jersey” will commence soon without its marquee player.
“Neither of us had any contact in probably two years at this point,” Melissa said, adding that Giudice’s recent comments came “out of nowhere.”
But Joe doesn’t seem to be bothered by the timing of Giudice’s invitation, explaining he only cares about supporting his family and loved ones.

“We have been men our whole lives and a man is, you know, I support my wife. I support my children. I’ve supported my parents. I support my siblings. I support everybody,” he said.
As he continued, Joe spoke candidly about being positive “examples” for other people in the world. “If no one made up, there’d be no ceasefire ever. You have to make up. You have to move on,” he said.
“I got a good heart,” he added. “I’d rather not argue or hold a grudge the rest of my life, for what? So, we’ll see.”

What Led Giudice To Reach Out To Her Brother?

Giudice echoed that sentiment during the “I Do, Part 2” podcast, explaining that her daughter, Gia Giudice, actually inspired her to reach out to her brother.
“Gia and I were on Special Forces. We spent a lot of time together before we went on Special Forces, and we talked a lot about a lot of things. So I want to be a good example for my children,” she said.
“Be a beautiful family,” she added. “If someone doesn’t get along, be the bigger person. Try to make it work. I’ve got to practice what I preach.”
Did Giudice Only Reach Out To Joe And Melissa To Get Back On ‘The Real Housewives?’

Giudice also responded to the claims that she only reached out to her brother to ensure she’s back on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” fiercely denying the allegations.
“Everyone is saying, ‘OMG, she’s desperate because she needs her job,’” she said. “No, I’m not. I’m not desperate. Like I said, if Bravo doesn’t want me back, I’m fine with it. If they want me back, I’m fine with both.”
