Hilaria Baldwin’s ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Bully Claims Slammed As BS

A former “DWTS” contestant wants Hilaria Baldwin^[1] to understand that being disliked is not the same as getting bullied.

Bobby Bones, the winner of the dance competition’s 27th season, recently shut down Hilaria’s bullying claims. He argued that he understood where she was coming from; however, she missed the mark by blaming critics for her elimination.

Hilaria Baldwin called out critics in an Instagram Live, claiming they had bullied her off “Dancing with the Stars.” She doubled down on her claims in an interview, accusing haters of running an orchestrated scheme to undermine her voters.

Bones addressed Hilaria’s bullying claims on Monday, October 13, in a TikTok^[2] post, assuring her that her elimination wasn’t linked to online criticism. “As somebody who was treated like crap by the hardcore fans of the show, yeah, bullying happens. But you don’t get bullied off the show,” he explained.

The “American Idol” mentor implored Hilaria to understand that she was “kicked off” the dance competition because she could not secure enough votes.

He acknowledged her talents, noting she had the needed skills to make it far on the show thanks to her dance experience. Unfortunately, skills did not necessarily equate to popularity.

“You didn’t get bullied off the show. I don’t know her, but you got eliminated because people didn’t like you,” Bones continued.

He used his season 27 victory as an example, revealing that he was “bullied like crazy” by hardcore fans. However, the majority of the public liked him and helped him secure the Mirrorball trophy with votes.

Bones’ post received positive responses from fans, who agreed with his argument that Hilaria’s elimination did not stem from bullying. “Exactly. Nobody voted for her. But she can’t handle that,” a TikTok user stressed. “She wasn’t bullied off, she was voted off,” another concurred.

“If they were to ever do a season of winners, you would win again for calling this lady out on the facts,” a fan added. The sentiments continued, with someone noting that Hilaria’s reaction to her elimination proved “exactly why people don’t like her.”

A fellow supporter noted that Bones won despite criticism from “DWTS” fans because he had a fanbase outside the competition, unlike Hilaria. “She wasn’t bullied off, and she wasn’t voted off. She just wasn’t voted for, so therefore was eliminated,” a TikToker claimed.

Three days after Hilaria and her pro dance partner, Gleb Savchenko, were eliminated from the competition, she dropped her bullying claims during an Instagram Live.

On Friday, October 10, Hilaria accused critics of running a “very coordinated, very strategic bullying” scheme to kick her off the competition. She claimed she would not let the darkness their actions brought into her life overwhelm her, adding:

“I always want to remember that my life belongs to the whole community and I want to leave a lasting mark of courage to speak up against what is simply wrong.”

Hilaria doubled down on her claim that her elimination was an orchestrated scheme in an interview with US Weekly^[3] on Sunday, October 12. She suspected that critics had united to vote for every other dance team except hers, which boosted their scores while overshadowing the votes from her fanbase.

Hilaria’s bullying narrative differed from her initial reaction to her elimination. The Blast^[4] shared that she took a disappointed but grateful stance, thanking her family and friends for their support.

The media personality spotlighted her husband, Alec Baldwin, crediting him for standing by her side and supporting her throughout the journey. Additionally, Hilaria noted that she was happy to teach her children about the value of trying new things.

As stated, Hilaria wasn’t sent home because she received low scores for her performances. During the October 7 elimination, she and her dance partner received the lowest fan engagement despite the show breaking records with over 40 million votes.
