Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb and rookie right guard Tyler Booker are back on the practice field after missing multiple games because of ankle injuries.

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer failed to mask his expectations for Lamb this week. What does Dallas need to see out of Lamb to clear him for Sunday’s game?

“If he’s breathing, I’m good,” Schottenheimer said of the All-Pro who last played Week 3 in a 31-14 loss at Chicago.

Lamb had 16 catches in the first two-plus games before he was injured on a running play. Lined up in the backfield, Lamb took a toss to the right and was dragged to the ground, landing awkwardly with weight on his left ankle.

In his absence, quarterback Dak Prescott has pumped the ball to the tight end Jake Ferguson (44 receptions, four TDs) and wide receiver George Pickens, who is averaging 16.4 yards per catch on 32 receptions and leads the team with six touchdowns.

Schottenheimer said Lamb was “very involved” in a walkthrough and KaVontae Turpin and Booker also were candidates to play if they complete multiple practices this week.

Turpin (foot) missed the past three games. He has 11 receptions and a touchdown and was named All-Pro as a return specialist for the Cowboys.

Booker, the Cowboys’ first-round pick in April, also suffered a high ankle sprain at Chicago and hasn’t played or practiced since that Sept. 21 game.
