The Punjab government has officially approved the launch of a Rs. 330 million digital profiling system aimed at strengthening security operations and combating terrorism, organized crime, and cyber threats across the province. The advanced system will support intelligence agencies in early threat detection through AI-powered surveillance and data analytics.
The initiative will be implemented in two phases with Rs. 204 million allocated for the first phase and Rs. 130 million for the second. Once completed, it will become a key component of the Punjab Intelligence Fusion and Threat Assessment Center, serving as a central hub for monitoring, analysis, and decision-making.
According to officials, the digital profiling system will analyze data from open sources and global intelligence networks, helping authorities identify high-risk individuals, criminal groups, and foreign threats.
“This system will revolutionize intelligence operations by enabling real-time monitoring and predictive threat assessment,” said a senior government official.
The platform will use machine learning, real-time video analytics, and automated data processing to enhance response time against digital crimes, financial fraud, and propaganda networks. The move marks a major step toward building a smart security infrastructure in Punjab aligned with global counterterrorism standards.
