OMS Energy Technologies Inc.[1] (NASDAQ: OMSE), a Singapore-based manufacturer, has achieved a major milestone by supplying and installing the critical wellhead section of Pakistan’s first smart intelligent wellhead system for MOL Pakistan, a fully owned subsidiary of MOL Group (OTC: MGYOY). The project marks OMS’s official entry into Pakistan’s opportunity-rich oil and gas sector and aligns with the company’s international expansion strategy.
OMS played a crucial role in the development and deployment of this advanced system. The company provided and integrated key wellhead components alongside equipment from several other major oilfield service providers. This collaborative effort highlights OMS’s capability to work seamlessly within complex, multi-vendor projects.
Manufactured in Singapore, Installed in Pakistan
The tubing hanger and tubing head adapter were manufactured at OMS’s Singapore facility. Representatives from MOL Pakistan witnessed the successful fit, form, and function tests before installation. OMS then worked closely with local teams during the deployment phase, ensuring efficient execution and effective knowledge transfer.
The smart intelligent wellhead system integrates real-time monitoring, automation, and remote-control technologies. It is designed to optimize well performance, enhance safety, and boost operational efficiency. It is also expected to significantly improve MOL Pakistan’s production efficiency, contributing directly to Pakistan’s energy sustainability goals.

Strengthening Local Capabilities Through Partnerships
In line with its localization strategy, OMS has joined a localization study initiated by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (LSE: OGDC) and Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). This initiative aims to indigenize oilfield technologies, develop local expertise, and foster a skilled workforce in Pakistan’s oil and gas sector.
Additionally, OMS has signed a service agreement with Drillnetics Energy, a renowned local provider specializing in machining, threading, repairing, and remanufacturing. This marks the company’s first step in establishing a sustainable and localized supply chain, further strengthening Pakistan’s energy infrastructure.
Expanding Global Reach
OMS operates across six jurisdictions in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa. With 11 strategically located manufacturing facilities, the company serves both onshore and offshore exploration and production operators. Its comprehensive offerings include surface wellhead systems (SWS), oil country tubular goods (OCTG), and premium threading services.
The Pakistan project serves as a strategic foothold for OMS in a rapidly developing energy market. While financial details were not disclosed, the installation opens doors to future opportunities in equipment sales, integration services, and long-term service contracts.
