Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, is already making headlines months ahead of its expected early 2026 launch. Recent leaks and certifications are fueling excitement, especially around its next-generation connectivity features.
According to new reports from China[1], the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has received regulatory approval for direct satellite communication. The certification confirms support for Tiantong-1 and Beidou networks, allowing users to make satellite calls and send messages without relying on traditional mobile signals.
Interestingly, the listing also mentions Ultra-Wideband (UWB) support, marking a first for Xiaomi’s flagship lineup[2]. This technology could enable precise device tracking and improved ecosystem integration across Xiaomi’s smart devices.
However, there’s an important detail to note. The approval lists a model number 25128PNA1C, which differs from the one seen in earlier September leaks. This variation could indicate a China-exclusive version with satellite capabilities or possibly two separate models for different markets.
While Xiaomi has yet to confirm any official details, the certification hints that the 17 Ultra will push the brand’s innovation further. More leaks and confirmations are expected as the launch window approaches.
