The Biggest Beef Steak refers to a viral video[1] in which a woman mishears the question, “What is your biggest mistake?” and replies by incorrectly repeating “mistake” as “beef steak.” The clip comes from a 2017 episode of the Filipino TV show Sarap Diva and went viral on social media sites like TikTok[2] in the early 2020s. In late 2025, it spread rapidly on TikTok via memes[3], edits and accuracy reenactments[4].
Origin
On November 25th, 2017, an episode of Sarap Diva aired on the Filipino television network GMA Network, in which the Reina Ultima Universa Diva 2017, a beauty pageant, was held between three female contestants. One of the contestants, named Adelantada, was asked, “What is your biggest mistake?” in one segment. She replied, “The biggest beef steak…”
On November 25th, GMA Network shared the clip to its YouTube[5] channel, gaining over 229,300 views in eight years.
Spread
On June 18th, 2024, YouTuber @Jeniee_TV shared the clip as a Short, gaining over 218,600 views and 8,500 likes in a year.
On August 29th, TikToker @hairyasshole30 shared the clip with a text overlay caption reading, “Me because all my fatass thinks about is food.” The video received over 292,400 likes in a year.

On September 14th, TikToker @_junweiii posted a video of two people recreating the viral video by passing a microphone between each other and mimicking the dialogue. Over one year, the video received roughly 337,500 likes.

For instance, on September 20th, TikToker @thatsiah shared a video using the original audio, in which he lip dubbed[18] Adelantada’s quote with a text overlay caption reading, “Me because my AirPods have been on 100% volume since they released.” The video gained over 1.7 million likes in a month.
