Genshin Impact[1] is full steam ahead with its new version naming scheme, and in continuing the narrative of the Luna arc (formerly Version 6.0). Today, HoYoverse unveiled Version Luna 2, the follow-up to one of the game’s biggest updates[2].

Version Luna 2 arrives October 22 with a new character, new Archon Quest, and the long-awaited launch of Miliastra Wonderland.

The title of Version Luna 2: Song of the Welkin Moon: Reprise – An Elegy for Faded Moonlight might be a little too dramatic, but what it’s actually bringing to the game is well worth getting excited about. The adventure remains firmly centred around the new Nod-Krai region, which shouldn’t surprise anyone.

This will all unravel as part of a new Archon Quest, which sees the return of Varka, and Arlecchino[3] – who are both joining the big “Racher of Solnari” Rerir conflict in Nod-Krai. It sounds like things are heating up in this chapter, as The Knave and The Marionette from the Fatui Harbingers are also joining the fight.

But every good fight also needs new allies, and the new character in this chapter is The Damselette, Nefer, who comes from the Curatorium of Secrets. Her role is crucial for the story, too, because the knowledge she possesses could undermine Rerir.

You’ll also be taking on Rerir at the conclusion of the new Archon Quest. Doing so will grant you an extra 560 Primogems.

As for Nefer, she’s a 5-Star Dendro catalyst wielder with a specialty of dealing Lunar-Bloom damage. Nefer uses Verdant Dew to power her attacks. Her Elemental Skill allows her to transform her Charged Attacks into special Charged Attacks. The special versions consume no Stamina, and deal Lunar-Bloom damage on top.

If the party she’s in enters Ascendant Gleam state, Nefer can also turn any Dendro Cores on the field into Seeds of Deceit, which boosts the damage of her special Charged Attacks even further.

Nefer will be part of the first half of the Event Wishes, along with Furina[5], who’s coming back. The second half is when Arlecchino and Zhongli will actually join.

Without question, however, the biggest part of this update is the introduction of Miliastra Wonderland, a mode where players can unleash their creativity. In order to access it, you’ll just need to have completed Act One of the Archon Quest Prologue.

Miliastra Wonderland features user-created content with a range of gameplay experiences. You’ll find management sims, action combat against other players, low-key adventures, and even party games.

Some of the stages can be played solo, others in co-op. They also feature their own ranking systems with leaderboards and achievements. You can create your own avatar for Miliastra Wonderland, called Manekins. These offer their own customisation options, like hair, accessories, and outfits. You’ll unlock new outfits the more you play, too.

If you’d rather design your own experiences, there’s a suite of editing tools that will turn you into a Craftsperson. You’re free to use so much of what’s already available in the game, and you can link different elements together using logic flows.

And, if you don’t know where to start, you’ll find a set of tutorials and other tools that help you understand how the editing suite works. HoYoverse also said there’s going to be a dedicated forum for creators, so look out for that.

Until then, you know what to do with our updated Genshin Impact codes[6].
