About
Taylor Swift “Eldest Daughter” Parodies refers to a meme trend in which internet[1] users post an image of a red-haired girl crying on the bed next to asinine song lyrics. The meme was inspired by X / Twitter[2] user @Aileendruiz, who posted the lyrics, “Every eldest daughter / Was the first lamb to the slaughter / So we all dressed up as wolves and we looked fire,” from the song “Eldest Daughter” in early October 2025. The lyrics were posted alongside a screengrab showing actress Sadie Sink crying in All Too Well: The Short Film. The meme went viral alongside the release of Taylor Swift’s[3] album The Life of a Showgirl[4], which received mixed reviews from music critics upon its release. The song that inspired the meme trend is related to discussions about Eldest Daughter Syndrome[5].
