Dreaming of summer days spent reading by the beach or pool? The folks at Amazon[1] must be thinking along the same lines, as the Prime Big Deal Days sale[2] has cut as much as 31% off some of the popular ereaders.
Highlights include discounts on the budget-friendly baseline model[3], 20% off the Colorsoft[4] – aka the best Kindle overall[5] – and a whopping AU$200 off the Kindle Scribe[6].
Depending on your needs, you can’t go wrong with the savings on offer here. However, we think the star deal this Prime Day is a 21% saving on the Kindle Paperwhite[7] – combining fast performance, a large 7-inch display and a multi-week battery life for just AU$236.
This latest model of the Kindle[8] Paperwhite benefits from a brand-new E Ink Carta 1300 screen that improves the reading experience by adding greater contrast, making text darker, and providing faster page turns. While it’s a small upgrade to its predecessor, we feel comfortable calling the Paperwhite the Kindle to buy for most people at this price.
If you’re not totally convinced, we’ve picked out a few more Kindle deals that are worth considering if you want a little more from your daily reader.
