The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has launched a nationwide awareness campaign against fake online job offers and digital scams allegedly linked to Indian intelligence operations.

According to PTA sources, Indian agencies are attempting to extract sensitive information about Pakistan’s key installations by deceiving citizens through fraudulent online job opportunities.

Sources revealed that fake Indian companies are luring Pakistanis with attractive salary packages to trap them into sharing confidential data. These schemes reportedly target citizens through professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn and job websites like “Job Gulf” and similar portals, many of which are being operated from India. The goal is to gather details related to critical institutions and their locations.

PTA sources confirmed that several fake websites have already been identified and blocked. The authority’s awareness drive aims to educate the public about online fraud, phishing activities, and deceptive digital job offers that can endanger national security. Citizens are being urged to remain vigilant and avoid engaging with suspicious online entities offering unrealistic employment opportunities.

Sources further disclosed that Indian intelligence operatives, posing as company representatives on social media, have been offering fake jobs to Pakistani youth. Under the cover of surveys and research, these agents attempt to collect images and locations of national projects and sensitive sites. PTA warned that such data could be misused against Pakistan’s interests.

The authority advised citizens to act responsibly and stay alert to enemy propaganda and cyber traps. PTA emphasized the importance of reporting any suspicious activity related to fake online job offers, noting that public awareness is the first line of defense against foreign cyber infiltration.
