These are the sort of savings we thought you’d have to wait for Amazon Prime Day[3] to see, but Best Buy has clearly decided to fire across Amazon’s bows in advance of the big day – and that means a big discount on a big TV that makes it a big bargain.
Today’s best Samsung 65-inch S84F Prime Day deal
The S84F is very similar to the superb Samsung S85F[4] that we rate very highly, and it comes with the same OLED[5] panel. It’s slightly more affordable than its stablemate because it lacks some of the non-essential features such as workout tracking, wellness monitoring and video calling support.
It also lacks Filmmaker Mode, which may be a deal-breaker for some, but we’ve found that Samsung[6]‘s own Movie mode – which this TV has – takes care of tone mapping more effectively, so we don’t think anyone except the purest of cinephiles will really miss Filmmaker.
