On August 18th, 2025, Ghanaian singer and comedian 24GH shared a video on his TikTok account, @24ghcomedy2, that showed him performing the vocals on a song with a band in a studio setting. The onomatopoeia of his vocals roughly resembled, “Eeee yaaa eeee yaaa,” or, “Eya eya ya.” The video had a text overlay caption that gave the song a title, “Lovely Sad.” Over two months, the video received roughly 2.2 million likes.

The original video’s TikTok sound was used by several creators in the following days. For instance, on August 19th, 2025, TikToker @vazagh used the sound, showing himself from a camera angle that made him appear like a creature, seen lip dubbing[17] the song. Over two months, the video gained over 16,300 likes.

In early September 2025, several Clash Royale[25] TikTokers began using the sound. For instance, on September 4th, TikToker @migx330 set gameplay footage to “Lovely Sad,” gaining over 108,900 likes in a month.

On September 15th, 2025, TikToker @someguywithmemesk posted a video with the song, showing himself stumbling around with his mouth agape. Over 16 days, the video gained over 852,100 likes.

Be niche[40] like me, twin.” The video received over 630,500 likes in two weeks.
