Punjab Police announced a major traffic enforcement drive on Tuesday, reporting the issuance of over 37,000 challans and collection of Rs. 26 million in fines within 24 hours. Alongside, more than 34,000 driving licenses were issued in a single day to promote lawful driving practices across the province.
The campaign is part of Punjab Police’s broader effort to improve road safety, curb traffic violations, and encourage drivers to adopt proper licensing. Traffic law enforcement has been tightened after repeated concerns over rising road accidents and poor compliance with regulations.
