Former Wikki Tourist striker Godwin Obaje scored twice to rescue a 2-2 draw for Rangers International away in Bauchi on matchday six of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Klinshak Longbak put Wikki ahead in the 12th minute before Obaje levelled with a header on 30 minutes. Jonathan Mairiga restored the home side’s lead early in the second half, but Obaje struck again in the 78th minute, taking his NPFL career tally to 87 goals at the same ground where he opened his account more than ten years ago.

The result denied Rangers their first away win of the season but gave Abdul Maikaba’s Wikki side a point against his former club.

Elsewhere, Warri Wolves suffered late heartbreak as Shooting Stars (3SC) came from behind to win 2-1 in Delta. Igbunu Evwierhurhoma gave Wolves the lead on 52 minutes, but Qamar Adegoke equalised in the 82nd before Adams Agba’a grabbed the winner four minutes later, sealing 3SC’s first away win of the season.

In Aba, Barau FC claimed their first-ever NPFL victory with a 2-1 win over Kun Khalifat. Ebuka Nwokorie opened the scoring with a clever chip before Yahaya Ibrahim replied for the visitors. Former Rangers man Hillary Ekawu put Barau back in front in the 65th minute, and Ibrahim’s second goal late on sealed a memorable triumph for the Maliya Boys.

At other centres, Nasarawa United defeated Katsina United 2-0, while Enyimba International extended their unbeaten run with a 1-1 draw against Ikorodu City in Lagos.
