Rogers-based manufacturer Assembled Products Corp. announced Thursday (Sept. 25) that it’s consolidated its operations into a more than 80,000-square-foot building and has a new brand, Kiefer Sage[1].

The company, which has 150 employees, also launched a new co-assembly service, “opening its doors to innovators and businesses seeking a trusted U.S.-based production partner,” according to a news release. The company is working with its first client on this service, providing design, assembly, logistics and production to companies looking to reshore production.

In March 2024, the company said it would consolidate its operations for its Jotto Desk brand into a more than 80,000-square-foot building at 405 W. Easy St. The brand’s products include rugged, adjustable laptop mounts and other heavy-duty equipment for vehicles, such as public safety.

According to city records, John Carney Construction in Rogers received a building permit valued at $8.41 million in September 2024 for the construction of a new commercial building at 405 W. Easy St.

Bill Sage founded Assembled Products Corp. in Rogers in 1983. Sage died in March 2024 after battling cancer and lung complications. He was 79. The company is led by his daughter, President Erin Kiefer.

“Kiefer Sage is rooted in the same values that started this company in Rogers more than 40 years ago,” Kiefer said. “We’re building on that proud history with a new name, a new home, and new opportunities to create solutions that improve lives, support jobs, and serve customers here in Arkansas and around the world.”

Sage created the first electric shopping cart, Martcart, that’s used by shoppers in stores such as Home Depot, Walmart, BJ’s Wholesale Club and Trader Joe’s. The company also created Spraymaster, a central pressure washing system that’s used by Chick-fil-A and the San Diego Zoo. It also developed Jotto Desk, the first mobile office desk for first responders.

Kiefer Sage CEO Justin Sparks is a former Tyson Foods executive who was hired last year to lead the company’s growth.

“This is more than a rebrand — it’s a transformation,” Sparks said. “By bringing our leadership, talent and production together under one roof, we’ve built the foundation for the next era of growth. We’ve redefined our go-to-market strategy, strengthened our team with both seasoned and new talent, and positioned Kiefer Sage as a world-class assembly partner right here in Arkansas. This moment is about honoring our legacy while boldly expanding what’s possible for the future.”

The move into one building is expected to increase “collaboration, efficiency and future growth while delivering measurable sustainability gains, including a 42% reduction in utility expenses and more than 4,000 fewer truck miles each year,” the release shows.

U.S. Rep. Steve Womack, R-Rogers, recently visited the new facility in Rogers.

“What I really appreciate more than anything is the quality of the premises, the quality of the employees that are out there on the floor doing this work, the conditions under which they work, and the contributions they are making to the greater Rogers and Northwest Arkansas economy and the world,” Womack said.
