Zong, Pakistan’s No.1 data network, and ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, today announced the first commercial launch of 3G&4G dual-mode with the industry 480W high-power FDD massive MIMO solution in Pakistan.
As a pioneer of FDD Massive MIMO solution, ZTE has introduced the industry’s first 480W high-power FDD Massive MIMO solution globally. The solution supports 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz bands for the current 4G network and is ready for the evolution to next generation network. It also supports 3G in 2100MHz, which meets the current requirement of Zong network.
In recent field tests with Zong, the 3G&4G dual-mode high-power FDD Massive MIMO solution delivered notable gains, including a capacity increase of 140%+ and an improvement in user experience of 270%+. By leveraging this advanced 3G and 4G high-power FDD Massive MIMO technology, operators can redeploy existing RRUs and antennas to other sites, optimizing return on investment and accelerating network modernization.
Zong and ZTE are advancing their collaboration by exploring and preparing for the large-scale deployment of the enhanced FDD Massive MIMO solution by plug-in the AI intelligent computing card in the BBU. This initiative aims to further boost cell capacity and optimize user experiences.
