Realme is gearing up for one of its biggest flagship launches yet, and the GT 8 Pro is shaping up to be a major leap forward for the brand. After teasers surfaced yesterday showcasing a bold new camera design, Realme has now confirmed some of the key hardware powering its next-generation device.

The headline feature is a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, marking the first time Realme[1] has used such advanced camera hardware. While the company hasn’t revealed the exact sensor model, the move signals its push to compete directly with top-tier camera phones.

The GT 8 Pro will also deliver sharper visuals with a 2K display, a step up from the 1.5K resolution found on last year’s GT 7 Pro. Industry leaks suggest a 6.78-inch LTPO 8T AMOLED panel, promising vibrant colors and smoother refresh rates.

Realme is expected to equip the device with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with an 8,000 mAh battery designed for long-lasting performance. The top configuration will offer 16 GB of RAM, running Android 16 with Realme UI 7 out of the box.

The GT 8 Pro will not launch alone. Realme plans to introduce it alongside the standard GT 8, with both models set to make their debut in China next month.
