For students from diverse economic backgrounds seeking academic and career success, Keiser University[1] remains a strong option.

The private university, headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, has again ranked among the nation’s top 50 national universities in the Social Mobility[2] category of U.S. News & World Report 2026 Best Colleges[3] rankings.

It’s the sixth consecutive year Keiser has ranked high in the Social Mobility category, which measures colleges and universities based on how well Pell Grant[4] recipients graduate compared to their peers.

Keiser also maintained its standing among the country’s best in the National Universities category.

“We are honored to once again be recognized among the nation’s top universities for advancing social mobility,” Keiser University Chancellor Arthur Keiser said in a statement.

“At a time when students and families are more focused than ever on the value of higher education, Keiser University remains committed to opening doors to opportunity.”

Alongside its Social Mobility distinction, Keiser also held its place among the top 395 institutions in U.S. News’ National Universities[5] rankings, which assess schools based on 17 factors, including student outcomes, faculty resources and reputation, as well as class size and per-student investment in instruction and support services.

Since U.S. News introduced the Social Mobility ranking in 2020, Keiser’s track record includes rankings of No. 34 in 2020, No. 11 in 2021, No. 5 in 2022, No. 1 in 2023, No. 21 in 2024, No. 22 in 2025, and No. 46 this year.

The fluctuating scores, Keiser said, reflect national debates over consistency and effectiveness in serving students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Founded in 1977, Keiser currently enrolls approximately 20,000 students across 19 campuses in Florida, as well as online and internationally.

Its degree offerings emphasize high-demand sectors such as health care, technology and business. The university has invested in support services specifically for students who face greater financial or educational obstacles, an approach that its leadership says is central to its mission.

Arthur Keiser said the recognition from U.S. News is “especially meaningful” as the institution nears its 50th anniversary.

“For five decades, our mission has been to transform lives through education and build stronger communities across Florida and the nation,” he said. “This honor affirms that our student-centered approach is making a lasting impact, and it inspires us to continue shaping the next 50 years of opportunity and success.”
