Google has announced a major revamp of its Play Store, introducing AI-powered features, redesigned tabs, and new gaming experiences to personalize content for over 4 billion users worldwide. The update is designed to increase engagement and make the Play Store a central hub for apps, games, books, movies, and cultural content.

The refresh includes a redesigned Apps tab with curated spaces tailored to user interests, a new You tab to manage subscriptions, rewards, and personal recommendations, and an enhanced Games tab that now features leagues, achievements, and community tools. Users can also customize their gamer profiles with Gen AI avatars.

Among the most notable changes is the launch of the Play Games Sidekick, powered by Gemini AI, which provides real-time gaming assistance without leaving the game. The sidekick can answer questions, offer tips, and organize gaming info in one overlay, starting with popular titles like Subway Surfers, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, and FC Mobile.

The update also expands curated content worldwide, with new spaces in the U.S., Korea, and beyond, following earlier launches in India and Japan. Additionally, Google Play Games on PC bringing over 200,000 titles to Windows has officially exited beta, marking another step in Google’s gaming push.
