Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or after a superb 2024/25 season in which he stood out both individually and with his club.
He played a central role in Paris Saint-Germain’s success, helping them win Ligue 1, the Champions League, and other trophies. Dembélé also earned the titles of Ligue 1 Player of the Season and Champions League Player of the Season.
His attacking contributions were outstanding, with many goal involvements and crucial performances in big matches.
The Ballon d’Or ceremony, held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, recognised top players, clubs, and managers from both men’s and women’s football. Awards included the men’s Ballon d’Or, the Kopa Trophy, the Yashin Trophy, and others.
This win marks a high point in Dembélé’s career and confirms him as one of world football’s leading figures this season.
In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmatí claimed her third Ballon d’Or in a row.
Lamine Yamal won the Kopa Trophy for Men’s Young Player of the Year, while Vicky López secured the Kopa Trophy in the women’s category.
PSG and Arsenal were named Club of the Year in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.
Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and England’s Hannah Hampton were named Men’s and Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year respectively.
Luis Enrique and Sarina Wiegman were named coaches of the year while Ewa Pajor and Viktor Gyökeres bagged the Gerd Müller Trophy.
