Kane decisive again – No player has scored more Champions League goals since he joined Bayern
Harry Kane continues to silence his doubters with consistent performances in Europe. The England striker was the star once more as Bayern Munich defeated Chelsea 3-1 in their Champions League opener.
Kane won a first-half penalty and confidently converted it before adding a fine second-half strike into the bottom corner. His goalscoring record for Bayern has been outstanding, and he has also delivered in the biggest European games.
The 32-year-old now has 42 Champions League goals, placing him joint 19th on the all-time list. Since moving from Tottenham to Bayern in the summer of 2023, no player has scored more goals in the competition. Despite Bayern’s exit in last season’s quarter-finals, Kane has netted 21 goals in 25 Champions League matches for the German champions.
At the top of the scoring chart since the 2023/24 season, Kane leads with 21 goals. Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé is second with 17 goals in 27 games for PSG and Madrid. Barcelona’s Raphinha follows in third with 16 goals in 21 matches.
Manchester City’s Erling Haaland is fourth with 14 goals in 18 games, the same tally as Robert Lewandowski (14 in 22) and Vinícius Júnior (14 in 23). Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy is seventh with 13 in just 15 matches. Atlético Madrid pair Julián Álvarez and Antoine Griezmann both have 12, while Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez completes the top 10 with 11 goals.
Kane remains Europe’s most prolific striker in the Champions League and shows no signs of slowing down.
