MediaTek will unveil its Dimensity 9500 SoC on September 22 at a special event in China. The launch comes just one day before Qualcomm introduces the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, highlighting the fierce rivalry in the Android flagship chip market.
The Dimensity 9500 continues MediaTek’s all-big-core CPU approach. Compared to the Dimensity 9400 and 9400+, it promises performance boosts, efficiency gains, and stronger graphics. Industry watchers also expect upgrades in AI processing and power management.
Vivo[1] has already confirmed that its upcoming X300 and X300 Pro will ship with the Dimensity 9500. This move ensures MediaTek’s newest chip reaches consumers quickly after the official reveal.
By timing its debut ahead of Qualcomm’s launch, MediaTek is making a clear statement. The top-tier Android SoC race is now more competitive than ever, with both companies pushing boundaries to dominate the premium smartphone segment.
