
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has taken a major step to boost digital skills by signing an MoU with FAST-NUCES, opening global IT training and certification opportunities for students and faculty.
The agreement, signed by PITB’s Skills Development Wing Director Ahmad Islam Syan and FAST-NUCES Rector Dr. Aftab Maroof, will enable participants to pursue internationally recognized certifications. Under this program, PITB will reimburse 100% of certification fees through its online portal, ensuring financial accessibility and equal learning opportunities.
According to PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, the initiative will help strengthen the talent pool in Punjab and prepare graduates to compete globally in the fast-growing tech industry. This collaboration highlights Punjab’s growing focus on skill development, digital education, and creating a workforce ready for international IT markets.
