The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has launched Version 5.0.0 of the Pak ID Mobile App, introducing Urdu menus and new features to make Pakistan’s identity registration system faster, more accessible, and fully digital for both local and overseas citizens.

Key Features of the Update

According to NADRA, the upgraded Pak ID Mobile App now offers a redesigned dashboard, enhanced search options, and a quicker process for cancelling identity cards. The addition of Urdu menus makes the app more user-friendly, especially for rural populations.

One of the most notable updates is real-time application tracking through the app’s inbox. NADRA has also launched an online death registration service in partnership with Union Councils in selected districts.

Other features include:

  • Facial biometric verification
  • Family records access without biometrics
  • Appointment booking at NADRA centres
  • Secure online fee payments for Smart NIC, CRC, and FRC services

How the App Works

Users can complete the entire ID registration process via their smartphones: sign up, choose the desired service, capture a live photo and fingerprints, upload documents, pay fees digitally, and track applications in real time until delivery.

Support for Overseas Pakistanis

The app enables overseas Pakistanis to apply for or renew a NICOP online. The process includes uploading documents, filling in personal details, submitting attested forms, and paying fees securely. Completed cards are delivered directly to overseas addresses.

NADRA stated that the updated Pak ID Mobile App offers faster performance, easier navigation, and a fully paperless process. The authority urged both local and overseas citizens to download the new version to benefit from its enhanced features.
