Google introduced the Pixel 10 lineup last month, which includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. The devices went on sale toward the end of August, with the Pixel 10 Pro XL 5G starting at $1,199 for the 256GB model with 16GB RAM and $1,319 for the 512GB version.

A detailed teardown of the Pixel 10 Pro XL was recently shared by Zack from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. The video shows the internal structure of the phone and shows how Google[1] has made progress in making the device more repair-friendly.

One key highlight is the battery design, which is notably easier to remove compared to earlier Pixel models. The teardown also shows that accessing most components requires entry from the back of the device, while the screen can be replaced from the front with only a single cable connecting it to the main body, meaning the screen should be easy to replace as well.

Although Zack praised Google for these changes, repair guide provider iFixit offered a more cautious assessment. While acknowledging improvements, iFixit noted that the upgrades may not be as significant as suggested. Still, the easier battery removal is considered a welcome advancement.
