About
The Skye Valadez “Charlie Kirk Dead at 31” SoundCloud Shooter Theory refers to an internet[1] conspiracy theory[2] and unfounded claims that the gunman who shot right-wing political commentator Charlie Kirk[3] was named Skye Valadez, based on an alleged SoundCloud[4] song called “Charlie Kirk Dead at 31” that an account with the name uploaded before Kirk’s death. The theory originated on 4chan[5] from internet sleuths who drew a connection between a Skye Valadez from Ogden, Utah, the SoundCloud account and image comparisons between Valdez’s social media photos and the CCTV images released by the FBI of the “person of interest” in the case.
Origin
On September 10th, 2025, a 4chan user shared a screenshot to the /pol/[6] board, showing a SoundCloud track called “Charlie Kirk Dead at 31” by God’s Finest Scalpel. The post shared a link to the track. It has since been deleted from SoundCloud, but a screenshot of it was archived on archive.is.
The /pol/ post also claimed that God’s Finest Scalpel was located in Ogden, Utah, just north of Orem, Utah, where Charlie Kirk was fatally shot at Utah Valley University (UVU) on September 10th.

4chan users began rapidly quoting and replying to the /pol/ post. For instance, one 4chan user shared the name “Skye Valadez.” Shortly after, another 4chan user shared an alleged screenshot of the God’s Finest Scalpel Spotify[7] page, showing the name “Skye” in the artist’s About section.
In another reply, a 4chan user shared a link to a Pinterest account called @rainy_skye021. It’s unclear where the user sourced the link from and how it was originally related to the “Skye” of God’s Finest Scalpel.

In another /pol/ thread, a user shared a yearbook photo, allegedly showing Skye Valadez at Bonneville High School in Ogden, Utah. The user claimed that the photo came from Google[8] Images.

In another thread on /pol/ started on September 11th, 2025, users shared links to an alleged Instagram[9] account adminned by Skye Valadez, @letters_to_bishop. Users in the thread shared images from the account, like one alleged tagged photo of Valadez, seen in black-and-white, holding a camera.

Spread
The theory that Skye Valadez was the gunman spread on social media in the following days. For instance, on September 11th, 2025, X user @Da_Carnivore reshared much of the media and imagery, allegedly of Skye Valadez, gaining over 45,000 likes in a day.
The user, among others on 4chan’s /pol/, claimed that Valadez was transgender. It’s unclear where the claim originates from.

On September 11th, a 4chan user on /pol/ shared a half-face mashup of the alleged photo of Valadez and the “person of interest” in the FBI investigation, writing, “We did it 4chan. The shooter is Skye Valadez.”
Later on that same day, X user @ondrock reposted[10] the half-face mashup image, writing, “If Skye Valadez is indeed the shooter, 4chan deserves all of the reward money, and more,” receiving over 74,000 likes in a day.
Notably, the post received a Community Note[11] that emphasized that the “person of interest” image used in the mashup had been altered with AI.
