Treet Battery Limited (TBL) has officially stepped into the lithium-ion battery market through a strategic partnership with Highstar Digital Energy Technology (Guangdong) Co. Ltd, a renowned Chinese manufacturer of energy storage solutions. The agreement, disclosed in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), allows TBL to import and sell lithium-ion batteries in Pakistan.
For decades, TBL has been known for its lead-acid battery business, primarily catering to automotive and industrial sectors. However, with global demand shifting toward cleaner and more efficient energy, the company is now diversifying into advanced lithium-ion technology.
The collaboration is expected to open doors for TBL in renewable energy projects, electric vehicles, and sustainable power systems. Lithium-ion batteries are increasingly seen as the backbone of future energy solutions, offering longer life cycles, higher efficiency, and better environmental impact compared to traditional batteries.
Company officials believe the partnership will enhance competitiveness, expand revenue streams, and build long-term shareholder value. Industry experts say this move could not only boost investor confidence but also position TBL as a strong player in Pakistan’s emerging green energy landscape.
