You don’t need to spend a fortune to get a good soundbar. In our guide to the best soundbars[1], you can find options that cost a few hundred dollars on the higher end, but there are several cheap ones on the list, too. One option is this Amazon Fire TV Soundbar, which is now down to $99.99[2] (was $119.99).
The Amazon[3] Fire TV Soundbar isn’t what I’d recommend for movie aficionados looking for a fully immersive home theater experience, but it’s a good fit for first-time soundbar owners who are tired of their built-in TV speakers. It’s also rare to find a soundbar with features like DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Audio for less than $100, so it can offer impressive sound quality for the price.

The Amazon Fire TV Soundbar is as convenient as it is affordable. In our Amazon Fire TV Soundbar review[4], we highlight the “simple setup” and “good overall sound” for its price. Just connect it to your TV with an HDMI cable to get started.
The Fire TV Soundbar can also connect with devices via Bluetooth, so you can play audio from other sources like phones and tablets on it. While it’s designed to work with Amazon Fire TVs, it’s compatible with any standard or smart TV with an HDMI connection, too. It measures a modest 24 inches long and 2.5 inches high, so it also should fit most stands without issue.
