The Elementary and Secondary Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has placed a complete ban on the transfer and posting of school teachers starting September 10.
Officials said the restriction was necessary as schools have resumed academic activities after the summer break, and reshuffling staff at this stage could affect teaching in classrooms.
Teachers of all cadres have been instructed not to submit transfer applications to the Education Minister’s office or the secretariat during the ban period. The department has also warned that strict disciplinary action will be taken against anyone who violates the order.
District education offices have been directed to ensure strict implementation. Under the existing policy, transfers will only be permitted once a year during vacations and exclusively through the e-transfer system.
The provincial education minister urged teachers to dedicate themselves fully to students’ learning, stressing that uninterrupted academic activity should remain the top priority after the reopening of schools.
