The Cabinet Secretariat Establishment Division has issued an official notification transferring Mr Shahid Iqbal Baloch to the post of Secretary Science and Technology Division, with immediate effect. The notice is dated 11 September 2025 and cites file number 12/02/2019-E-1.
Baloch is a BS-22 officer of the Inland Revenue Service, who was at the disposal of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The transfer is ordered until further directions.
The notification was signed by Irfan Ahmed Memon, Section Officer E-1, and addressed to the Printing Corporation of Pakistan for publication in the Weekly Gazette. Copies of the order were circulated to the Adviser to the Prime Minister, the Secretary to the President, the Secretary Cabinet Division, and the Secretary Establishment Division. The Secretary Science and Technology Division and the Secretary Revenue Division were also notified, as were the Special Secretary Establishment Division and the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue.
The order further directs the Principal Information Officer of the Press Information Department and other relevant officials to take note. Additional secretaries, joint secretaries, and directors were listed for action.
The officer concerned must furnish a copy of the charge relinquishment and assumption reports to the Establishment Division as part of the handover process. The notification file and the personal file of the officer were named for record-keeping.
