A man who was left dead[1] underneath a concrete slab with a chilling gunshot wound for 10 years has finally been identified.

Investigators revealed the remains belong to Chester Williams, who was found on August 26, 2021, in Las Vegas, when a homeowner was breaking up a concrete slab.

According to police, the victim had died from a gunshot wound to the head and was believed to have been buried for at least 10 years.

Authorities revealed they were given a tip-off on July 29 this year after a member of the public left a voicemail claiming they might know the victim’s identity.

The woman claimed the man, who was identified as Williams, had been living with her parents until he vanished between 1998 and 1999.

The caller also said her parents lived on the same street where Williams was found. In addition, she claims she remembers her parents pouring a slab of concrete at the location where he disappeared.

“When she asked her parents about him, they said he had just gone and left. She thought it odd because all his personal belongings were left behind,” Mohave County Sheriff’s officials said.

“She also said that shortly after his disappearance, her parents poured a slab of concrete at the location.”

The woman’s parents, identified as Alvin and Bea Hamilton, died in 2006 and 2018, respectively.

It comes after a man was charged[4] after allegedly driving a dead body[5] to a hospital before telling staff and fleeing, according to police.

Christopher Caron, 42, is accused of driving a black Honda Civic to the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts, with a man’s body in the backseat last Saturday.

The suspect then parked his car in front of the emergency room entrance before telling staff there was a body inside. He then fled the scene while a hospital employee checked the car, according to authorities.

The stunned staff member discovered that the body had been dumped in the car in blankets and taped with duct tape.

The victim was tragically identified as 27-year-old Declan Perry, from Portland. Police confirmed the car belonged to the victim. His cause of death has not been revealed.

Authorities previously said the pair knew each other. Following the news of Caron’s arrest, neighbours told police how they had assisted him in loading a “large, heavy blanket” into a black Honda Civic earlier that Saturday.

Cops searched where Carson was staying and seized “several items of evidence”.
