Sky Daily, Hulk Hogan

Hulk Hogan[1] left behind fewer than $5 million in assets, none of which will go to his estranged daughter Brooke, according to new bombshell reporting in the wake of the wrestling legend’s death in July.

As attorneys for the late WWE[2] star’s son Nick explained in court files obtained by Us Weekly[3], Hulk did not list Brooke as a beneficiary to his estate in his will – a document that was amended four times, most recently in 2023. Instead, Nick is the sole beneficiary of his father’s estate while Hulk’s widow and third wife, Melanie Sky Daily,[4] is listed as his surviving spouse.

Nick didn’t include Hulk’s real estate property in the court filing. Us Weekly speculates the real estate, estimated to be worth $11 million, could be controlled by a trust or LLC.

Hulk’s will does include $799,000 in personal and intellectual property, $200,000 in cryptocurrency, as well as his right to publicity, estimated to be worth $4 million, according to Us Weekly.

There is also a reported unknown value for a potential medical malpractice lawsuit[5], which Daily is considering following a neck surgery she believes contributed to Hulk’s death.

The 35-year-old’s filings are part of his ongoing lawsuit to stop radio personality and Hulk’s long-time friend Bubba The Love Sponge (real name: Todd Clem)[6] from releasing a documentary about the late wrestler’s 2012 sex-tape scandal.

At the time, Gawker Media had published a sex tape of Hulk with Clem’s then-wife, leading to a lawsuit from Hulk.

He was initially awarded a $140 million payout after winning the lawsuit against Gawker Media, but that figure was later reduced to a $31 million cash settlement in November of 2016 as the website filed for bankruptcy protection.

Also, on Tuesday, Nick filed for himself and a man named Terry McCoy to be named co-personal representatives for his the wrestler’s estate.

Daily Mail has reached out to Nick’s attorneys for more information.

Hulk, the WWE legend, died at 71 in July after suffering fatal cardiac arrest.

Brooke revealed shortly after that she ‘had to step away to protect my heart’ in the final two years of his life.

And not only did she remove herself from his everyday life, she also removed herself from his will.[7]

The 37-year-old, who is married to former NHL player Steven Oleksy, feared being caught up in a bitter financial battle in the wake of her father’s death, according to TMZ.

Brooke reportedly didn’t trust anyone in Hogan’s inner circle and asked to be removed as a beneficiary of his estate in 2023 – the same year the two went their separate ways.

Five days after the news of Hogan’s death was announced, Brooke posted a long message on Instagram clarifying their relationship.

‘My father and I never ‘fought,’ she wrote. ‘It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand.’

Brooke revealed she had felt her father starting to pull away – saying he no longer wanted support or advice from her, despite his health issues.

‘We’d been through almost 25 surgeries together, and all of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries,’ Brooke said.

Last month, Brooke went on Bubba’s show on Twitch to discuss her father and his relationship to Scientology – a religious movement with a major facility in Hulk’s hometown of Clearwater, Florida.

‘That’s a loaded question,’ Brooke said. ‘He told me he’s never getting married again. She’s [Sky] nice, and she’s cool[at the beginning], and, you know, I don’t really want to go into too much detail about our conversations, but he was saying, you know, “She’s pushing the marriage thing real hard”.

‘And I said, “Well, Dad, you don’t have to do what you don’t have to do, you know.” Blame it on me.’

She claimed her father was fearful about ending things with Sky, alleging he said: “Well, if I broke up with her, it’d be really bad.” And I said “What do you mean?” And he goes, “I don’t want to get into it”, you know, whatever.’ That was the first thing where I was like “what the hell? Why would he say that?”

It was then that Brooke learned about Sky’s links to Scientology. She continued: ‘Somebody brought it to our attention that she was a Scientologist. She said she was a Scientologist but she said she left. I started digging a little bit deeper. I don’t know much about Scientology at all so, I’m just telling you what my digging did. She’s still in good standings.’

Brooke claims she asked her dad about Sky’s scientology links, to which he apparently answered: ‘When I brought that up to my dad, he goes, ‘Oh, well, she just doesn’t want to leave [the Church of Scientology] because she still wants her kids to be able to see the grandparents and they are the highest level, like OT eight, I believe.’

OT eight is considered as the highest level of Scientology.

Sky has been linked to Scientology throughout her life – and Hulk was pictured in public with people such as Tom Cruise, one of the most high-profile Scientologists, during his relationship with her.

Brooke didn’t specify when she exactly had that conversation with her father, who eventually married Sky in September 2023 – two months after announcing their engagement.

Brooke said she took herself out of her father’s will and hinted in the interview that Sky’s possible Scientology links contributed to her making that decision.

Later in the hour-long interview, she said: ‘I said to take me off everything, I didn’t want to be a part of this. I was sobbing when I sent the message to Terry McCoy, the guy who manages his money.

‘If Sky is a Scientologist, which apparently she is still in good standings, she said she left, it is not for me to judge. She was always nice to me, I have no problem with Sky. But if she was a Scientologist, I know that’s a very powerful backing.

The wrestling icon’s phrenic nerve was ‘compromised’ during neck surgery in May, leaving him short of breath in the months before his heart stopped at his Clearwater Beach home

Hulk’s widow disclosed in an exclusive interview last month that her main focus is the neck surgery he underwent months before his death.

Daily said Hogan’s phrenic nerve was ‘compromised’ during the operation in May, leaving him short of breath in the months up to his heart stopping at his $8million waterfront home in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

The nerve controls the ability to breathe, and Sky, 46, told Daily Mail: ‘We are investigating for possible malpractice. If you have shortness of breath for a long time, that makes you very sick.

‘It’s not something that’s an alarming (sudden) cause of death. It’s something that wears on you, makes you weak.’

Asked if that could have contributed to his July 24 death, she replied: ‘Definitely.’

As for the lawsuit, Clem was still allowed to do a screening of the documentary, ‘Video Killed The Radio Star,’ in the Tampa area with Brooke on hand.

Nick sued Clem over the documentary, saying it would violate a settlement agreement between Hulk Hogan and Bubba from 2012, following the release of a sex tape involving the wrestler and the radio host’s then-wife.

Ultimately a judged allowed Clem to publish the documentary provided he remove specific images from the sex tape for the time being.

Clem has maintained that he did not leak the sex tape, but it was instead stolen by a former producer of his.

And as Brooke said after Hogan’s death, as quoted by TampaBay.com[8], Hogan didn’t blame Clem for the leak, although it did ruin their friendship.

‘My dad told me all the way back in 2012 that he knew it wasn’t Bubba who leaked the tape,’ she said. ‘I remember asking him why they couldn’t be friends again after their settlement, but it was complicated. It makes me sad to think about it, but at least I can be here now.’
