The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has rolled out Version 5.0.0 of its Pak ID Mobile[1] App, introducing new facilities designed to improve accessibility and streamline registration processes for citizens.

According to NADRA, the upgraded app features an enhanced dashboard, a refined search option, and a quicker process for the cancellation of identity cards. The update also introduces bilingual labeling of all features in English and Urdu, making the service more user-friendly for people in rural areas.

Other key improvements include application tracking directly through the app’s inbox and an online facility for death registration in partnership with Union Councils across selected districts. Citizens are encouraged to download the new version to access these improved services.

In a related development, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab recently announced that NADRA counters will be set up in all union councils of the city to ensure greater public access. The announcement was made at the inauguration of the upgraded NADRA registration center at Babar Market, Landhi.

Mayor Wahab further revealed that feasibility studies are underway for a new registration facility at Kakri Ground in Lyari, while mega centres are under construction in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulberg, and Surjani Town.
