Three young students from Karachi have earned top positions at the World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) 2025 Sindh Nationals, securing their place at the global finals in Singapore this November.
The winning team, called PowerPuff Innovators, is made up of Emaan Zehra, Anaya Anas, and Ayra Rizvi, all students of Grade VIII at Haque Academy. Aged between 12 and 13, the trio competed in the Future Innovators Junior category, where they secured first place in Sindh and received the Girls in STEM Award.
At the national level, the PowerPuff Innovators finished second overall among 51 teams from Punjab and Sindh. Their project, an AI-powered financial literacy and management robot, uses a smart camera system to help users make informed purchasing decisions.
The team will represent Pakistan at the WRO Global Finals 2025 in Singapore, competing against participants from around the world. They will also be the only team from Pakistan at the international event.
The World Robotics Olympiad is an international competition that fosters innovation and STEM skills among students. The 2025 theme, “The Future of Robots,” challenges participants to design robotic solutions for real-world problems.
