Paris Saint-Germain[1] are reportedly far from happy with France manager Didier Deschamps after Ousmane Dembele[2] suffered a hamstring injury in Friday’s 2-0 win over Ukraine.
Dembele was brought on midway through the World Cup qualifying clash but had to be substituted in the 81st minute due to a problem.
The French champions confirmed on Saturday that he had suffered a hamstring injury and will be sidelined for up to six weeks.
‘After leaving the pitch injured during the match between Ukraine – France on Friday, Ousmane Dembélé has suffered a serious injury to his right hamstring,’ their statement read. ‘He is expected to be unavailable for around six weeks.’
And ESPN claim PSG are furious with Deschamps’ decision to play the Ballon d’Or[3] favourite in the game.
A source told them that they deem it a ‘ridiculous’ call while their has been plenty of criticism across Paris.

Deschamps attempted to defend himself after the match, saying: ‘I was sure that he was capable of playing a high level match, otherwise I would not have played him.
‘This time, it is the other thigh [than against Toulouse]. He was fit. It is unfortunate for him but could have happened to another player.
‘I took the decision to play him because of what he was thinking and because medically there was no problem.’
The international fixture proved to be somewhat of a disaster for Les Parisiens with Desire Doué also picking up a strain in his right calf and will be out for around four weeks.
Dembele will now miss the Championsm League meetings with Atalanta and Barcelona as well as the Ligue 1 showdown with Marseille.
