Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is expected to play in the season opener against the host New Orleans Saints on Sunday despite being added to the injury report with an illness, the team announced.
Murray, 28, does not carry an injury designation into Sunday’s game. He participated in practice throughout the week.
The No. 1 overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft completed 68.8 percent of his passes for 3,851 yards to go along with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 games (all starts) last season.
