It’s not always easy to keep up with everything in tech, which is why we write an ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) round-up each and every week – so even if you’ve had a particularly busy seven days, you can still catch up on everything that’s happened.

And it’s been quite the week too: from blockbuster games to blockbuster movie trailers, from new Samsung[1] phones and tablets to the Apple[2] phones we’re expecting next week, there’s a lot going on in the world of technology right now.

Our advice? Settle down with the beverage of your choice and take a leisurely read through some of the top stories TechRadar has published this week. We’ll see you again next week, for another easily digestible summary.

You don’t have to go far down any list of the best smartwatches[3] to find a Garmin[4] model or four, and there are now two new Fenix 8 models to choose from, with a Pro moniker attached – pricey, certainly, but the most premium wearables Garmin has launched yet.

The two Fenix 8 Pro options give you satellite and LTE connectivity, with one model sporting a micro-LED screen that Garmin says is the brightest it’s ever put on one of its watches. Find out the details of these new wearables here – including their prices.

E-paper tablet maker reMarkable doesn’t often launch new products, but when it does, they’re usually worth paying attention to. That’s certainly the case with the Paper Pro Move, which is smaller than previous models, offering a more portable form factor.

US Mobiles Editor Philip Berne has been testing out the new gadget, and describes it as “exactly what I wished for” in his comprehensive review. So, if you’re after a writing tablet that you can take anywhere, he might be able to persuade you to pick one up.

The ending to 28 Years Later left us with a question or two, and the new trailer for The Bone Temple goes some way to answering them. The next movie in the series arrives in January, but this first trailer gives us a good idea of what we can expect to see.

Danny Boyle is moving from director to producer this time, with Nia DaCosta taking over behind the camera, but Alex Garland is once again on screenwriting duties. Join us as we break down the trailer frame by frame – with major spoilers for the previous film included.

Google’s Gemini app just got a major AI image editing update, informally known as Nano Banana, and its various creations have been taking the internet by storm this week – so we of course decided to give it a try and see if it’s as good as everyone has been saying.

In short: yes, it is. The new image editor can change out specific parts of a picture while keeping everything else consistent, combine images together in a realistic way, and produce winning results with every prompt. You might never need Photoshop[5] again.

4. The Galaxy S25 FE came and crushed the iPhone 16e

Samsung launched the mid-range Galaxy S25 FE this week, and based on our early hands-on impressions, it beats Apple’s iPhone 16e in most of the key categories – it has a bigger screen, a bigger battery, and better cameras, though it does cost a bit more.

We do have some reservations about the Exynos chipset that Samsung has decided to include here, but it could be the next smartphone upgrade you’ve been looking for if you like the idea of the original Galaxy S25 but find it a little out of your price range.
