Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy S25 FE, expanding its Fan Edition lineup with incremental but noteworthy upgrades. The device brings a larger battery, updated internals, and Samsung’s latest software experience, while retaining much of the S24 FE’s design language.
Design and Display
The Galaxy S25 FE maintains the overall aesthetic of its predecessor, with a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X LTPS display offering a Full HD+ resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness, enabling better visibility for outdoor use. The phone features an upgraded in-display fingerprint scanner, which is now of the ultrasonic kind for more consistent and faster unlocks.
Samsung has also retained an IP68 rating, and the phone is protected on both sides by Gorilla Glass Victus+, housed within a more robust Armor Aluminum frame. Color options include Jetblack, Icyblue, Navy, and White.
Internals and Software
Powered by the 4nm Exynos 2400 chipset, the Galaxy S25 FE includes 8GB of RAM and offers up to 512GB of UFS storage. The internal vapor chamber is 10% larger than that of the previous model, aiming to improve thermal management during demanding tasks such as gaming.
The device runs Android 16, layered with Samsung’s new One UI 8.0 interface. Samsung promises seven years of OS and security updates, matching its flagship support policy. AI features include Gemini Live, Circle to Search, ProVisual Engine, Generative Edit, Audio Eraser, and other AI-powered tools.
Cameras
Samsung has retained the triple rear camera configuration but introduced some refinements. The setup includes a 50MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultrawide lens with a 123-degree field of view, and an 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. On the front, the S25 FE upgrades to a 12MP selfie camera.
The device supports 4K video recording and features several AI-enhanced photography options, including dual video mode, instant slow motion, and portrait studio settings.
Battery and Pricing
The Galaxy S25 FE features a 4,900 mAh battery, slightly larger than the S24 FE, which boasts a 4,700 mAh cell, but the notable part is that Samsung[1] has finally introduced silicon carbon tech for larger battery capacities in a slimmer size.
The battery supports 45W fast wired charging, while wireless and reverse wireless charging are also supported. Samsung claims the device can reach 50% charge in about 30 minutes using an official fast charger.
In Europe, the base 8GB + 128GB model is priced at approximately $875, the 256GB variant at approximately $945, and the 512GB version at approximately $1,084. Prices in other regions, including the US and India, are expected to be cheaper. Keep in mind that the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE launched for $650 last year.
