Me and the Divas Drinking Our Matcha is a series of memes[1] based on an image macro[2] showing the characters Rumi, Mira and Zoey from the animated movie K-Pop Demon Hunters[3] with distorted faces under the caption, “Me and the ✨💜DIVAS💜✨ drinking our matcha[4].” The meme was originally posted to TikTok at the end of August 2025 and garnered viral spread over the following days through reposts, inspiring redraws[5] and edits, particularly in the comment sections of TikTok videos.
Origin
On August 31st, 2025, TikToker @owomenpmo posted a video consisting of a heavily edited screenshot from K-Pop Demon Hunters under the caption, “Me and the ✨💜DIVAS💜✨ drinking our matcha.” The bottom of the video notably shows the TikToker’s Roblox[6] avatar. The video gained over 60,000 views in three days.

That day, TikToker @b.bvn.x_55 left a comment consisting of the meme turned into a proper image macro format, garnering about 60 likes in three days.
Spread
The meme began to spread over the following days in late August and early September 2025, also inspiring edits in the comment section of TikTok user @owomenpmo’s video.
For example, on August 31st, 2025, TikToker @Blakeanorris posted a Dark Mango Psychology[9] edit using the term Diddy bluds[10] that gained over 540 likes in three days.
On September 1st, 2025, it was reposted to the /r/KpopDemonhunters subreddit to about 20 upvotes in two days. Later that day, X user @ruggyscruggy reposted it, garnering over 35,000 likes and 3,100 reposts in the same span of time.
Also on September 1st, X user @nerdyomniman posted a redraw of the meme depicting all of the characters as Invincible[11] characters and Invincible War Variants[12], garnering over 350 likes in two days. On September 2nd, Instagram[13] user meghan_trainor_updates_ reposted the meme, garnering over 1,500 likes in 20 hours.
Later on September 2nd, 2025, TikToker @arritractive posted a POV meme[14] referencing the image macro, captioned, “POV: It’s 2030, you miss Kpop Demon Hunters and drinking matcha with the divas,” garnering over 100,000 views in a day. The video inspired more edits of the meme in the comments section.
