Summit Utilities, Inc. announced Tuesday (Sept. 2) two senior leadership appointments: Scott Sanders has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and longtime Summit leader Vernon McNully has been named Vice President of Operations.

Sanders brings more than 25 years of experience in finance, investment banking, and energy sector leadership to Summit. McNully, a 30-year veteran of the company and a native Arkansan, will oversee Summit’s operational footprint across six states.

“We are thrilled to welcome Scott Sanders to Summit and to recognize Vernon McNully’s decades of dedicated service with his appointment as Vice President of Operations,” said Kurt Adams, President and Chief Executive Officer of Summit. “Scott’s financial expertise and strategic leadership will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our business. Vernon’s long tenure, deep technical knowledge, and personal connection to the communities we serve make him an outstanding leader for our operations team. Together, their leadership will ensure Summit continues delivering safe and reliable natural gas to our customers.”

Since acquiring CenterPoint Energy’s Arkansas assets in 2021, Summit has created more than 200 new jobs in the state and continues to invest in career growth of Arkansans.
